Slowly but surely restauranteurs are starting to realize the untapped goldmine that is South Surrey. In 2011 South Surrey surpassed West Vancouver and Vancouver’s west side to become ranked the richest area in Metro Vancouver* and yet there are still relatively few great food places to eat. So unless a S. Surreyite wants to schlep themselves downtown, you have to limit yourselves to the best of the mediocre. Here’s where Tap comes in to save the day.
Although not very inventive, it is a solid place to go to get a great meal. The atmosphere is cozy, it has a great patio and pretty decent wine menu. Few places ANYWHERE need you to make a reservation even on a Wednesday, but at Tap it is recommended. Prepare to pay for it but just think of the money you are saving on gas and the time saved not having to be on the road.
